Broadway is beginning to look a lot like Philly! Jennifer Mudge and more complete the cast of the new musical Rocky, led by previously announced stars Andy Karl as Rocky and Margo Seibert as Adrian. Directed by Alex Timbers, the production will begin performances February 11, 2014, with an official opening night set for March 13 at the Winter Garden Theatre. Rocky will feature orchestrations by Doug Besterman (The Producers) and Stephen Trask (Hedwig and the Angry Inch).
Mudge will play Gloria, the girlfriend of Adrian's brother Paulie (played by Danny Mastrogiorgio). She appeared in The Philanthropist and Reckless on Broadway. Her additional New York credits include Fault Lines, The Big Meal, Don’t Go Gentle, Ooh-Rah, The Pavilion and The Stendhal Syndrome. Her film and TV appearances include Law & Order, The Good Wife, The Big C, You Don’t Know Jack, Boss, and the forthcoming film My America.

Featuring a score by Tony-winning songwriting team Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty and a book by Tony winner Thomas Meehan and Sylvester Stallone, Rocky tells the inspirational story of a struggling Philadelphia boxer who gets a once-in-a-lifetime shot to go into the ring with heavyweight champion Apollo Creed. The musical is based on the Oscar-winning 1976 film of the same name. In addition to Karl, Seibert and Mastrogiorgio, the musical will feature previously announced cast members Terrence Archie as Apollo Creed and Dakin Matthews as Rocky’s trainer Mickey.
